subsidiary, HYPROC SC is a decisive link for strategic valorisation and marketing of Sonatrach Group
hydrocarbons. This latter, currently classified 11th on a worldwide scale,
occupies the ranks of the 2nd exporter of LNG and LPG.

HYPROC Shipping Company is a
joint stock company with a registered capital of 12 billion Dinars, totally
owned by Hydrocarbons Valorisation Company / SVH acting on behalf of SONATRACH
Group.
In March 8th, 2005,
the Company’s head office was transferred from the industrial area of Arzew, to
ZHUN /USTO, Oran, the second economic and
industrial pole of Algeria.
The operational
divisions remain established in the old area of Arzew to be close to the fleet
and to answer the seagoing personnel’s requests.

COMPANY'S BACKGROUND
|

|
HYPROC Shipping Company, a
senior national economic company of maritime transport of hydrocarbons and chemicals",
by abbreviation (SNTM-HYPROC), was created in 1982, following the decree n°
82-282 of August 14th, 1982.
HYPROC became a joint-stock
company (SPA) after transformation of its statutes in 1995.
In October 1997,
SNTM-HYPROC became subsidiary at 100% of SONATRACH Group,
under supervision of the Participation and Investment Holding (SIP).
Since December 2001, the
company was wholly owned by “Société de Valorisation des Hydrocarbures”, in
accordance with SONATRACH new organisation.
In 2003, SNTM-HYPROC changed
its denomination to become "HYPROC Shipping Company".
